Pakistan beat England in the World Cup by 14 runs in the 6th match despite hundreds from both Josh Butler and Joe Root.
In the match played at Nottingham Trent Bridge, England captain Ian Morgan won the toss and invited Pakistan to bat first. On the invitation of England, Pakistan’s batsmen batted cautiously and gave a good start to the team, but Spinner Moin Ali troubled Pakistan in the middle by taking 3 wickets. Babar Azam and Imam ul Haq completed a hundred runs stand, next coming up batsman Mohammad Hafeez provided 88 runs partnership with Baber Azam. Captain Sarfraz Ahmed made 55 runs from 44 balls before catch out to catch Chris Woakes. Shoaib Malik could not show some special performance, but Hassan Ali hit some of the aggressive shots to help Pakistan to reach 348 runs.
